Look for less – Stella McCartney Patent Slingbacks

Posted by Sophie on January 22, 2011

Ok, I don’t know what’s gotten into me lately but I’m lusting after pointed toe with low heels.  I want a pair so much so that I spent hours today looking for that perfect pair.  It must be patent leather, pointy toe, and slingback style.  And here are my two picks starting with Stella McCartney Patent Slingbacks (sold out T_T).

Jeffrey Campbell’s Estelle slingbacks made my knees go weak even more so than the above pair, plus I can actually afford them!  This pair is as pretty as it’s name.  The asymmetrically curved cut, the perfectly low 2.5″ heel, and the glossy patent finish makes you go head-over-heels for this pair.  Also available in pastel green & yummy nude.  Oh, if they only had them in gray… think I’m getting the nude pair after all.

With comfort and style, these oh-so-chic flats will dress up any outfit!  I’m sooooo in love with the Melissa Vivienne Westwood Ultragirl III Flats, probably among the most adorable flats I’ve ever seen!  Made with rubber, so perfect for rainy days & super easy to maintain!  Here are my top 5 must-have party flats.

Melissa Vivienne Westwood Ultragirl III Flats $120

Big Julie Yellow Patent $99 $275 (Almost all gone!)

Foil Ruffle Flats $22.99

Christian Siriano Spring 2010

Posted by Sophie on September 14, 2009

I was pleased with the Fall 09 Collection from Christian Siriano for Payless.  Love them boots!  However, his latest Spring 2010 collection is not as thrilling as the last.  Honestly, I do love these fab shoes… the color, pattern, everything… but those warped heels?  How unflattering under such sexy platforms!  I admire his inventive side (and I think he’s so adorable!) but those horn-like heels really ruined the overall design for me.  What’s your take on these shoes?

Expect to see the shoes & handbags in Payless stores around Feb, 2010.  Oh, and hopefully, there will be some alterations to the heels before they hit the stores.  Fingers crossed!

Black & Bloom – Top 5

Posted by Sophie on July 31, 2009

Black & beautiful… with charming floral accents on all black pumps… who doesn’t need a touch of little flower?  I’m not big into floral shoes but the black makes it a bit subdued & sophisticated.  Each of these luscious pairs are such an elegant treat to your feet.  Indulge yourself!

Stuart Weitzman – Feline $182 $335

GIANNI MARRA $98 $240

J. Reneé ‘Brendall’ Pump $114.95

Charles David – Fling $120.75 $240

FRANCINA $119.95

Love It or Hate It – Maison Martin Margiela Boots

Posted by Sophie on May 2, 2009

I’m always lusting after cutout boots but not really fond of the Maison Martin Margiela knee-high boots Kim Kardashian is wearing.

Although with a cool asymmetrical cutout, they look better on the display shelf than on your feet… the exposed area is a bit too much for my liking (from the heel to almost to the toes).

Even if I had $1300 of disposable income, I still wouldn’t get this pair.  There are far too many other yummy boots to choose from out there…

Maison Martin Margiela Boots $1245

My personal taste leans more towards this pair, plus it’s MUCH cheaper!  Which pair would you prefer design wise?

Linea Paolo ‘Miladia’ Cutout Boot $169.95
